Popular towns in Albuferia

Alte is a bit touristy in my eyes (it’s on the list for a lot of coach trips) but not far away along the N124 road are Benafim and Salir, both nice and quiet.

Paderne is a fairly unspoiled village a few miles north of Albufeira.

Querenca is nice too. This time of year whilst not as busy as places like Silves and Caldas da Monchique

Loule It has a small castle, some lovely shops and some great restaurants.

Silves is the historic capital of the region. Cathedral, castle ruins, unspoiled old part of town plus a nice riverside area and traditional market hall.
